Wacky Saver

May 23rd, 2007 | No Comments | Posted in WNY Fishing

Wanted to thank Scott from BigBassCountry.com for sending me a little toy to try out when I’m down in Pennsylvannia in early June. It’s called a Wacky Saver, and it’s great for saving soft plastic baits …  Essentially, it’s used to easily feed  rubber ring onto a Senko or a similar worm, so that you don’t have to keep re-inserting a hook through those nice but comparatively expensive soft rubber worm bodies. Thanks again Scott. Be sure to check out Scott’s blog if you’re going to be in the

Texas area (talk about a big area), or if you’re just interested in bass fishing.

Kayak Decision Time

Think I’ve made up my mind on a Yak. Going to go with a 12′ Liquidlogic MantaRay. More than likely, I’ll grab the one they have in stock over at Oak Orchard Kayak out in Waterport, NY.

Think I’ll head over there tomorrow morning and try one out, as well at the Wilderness Systems 12 foot they have rigged out for fishing there. Special thanks to the Irondequoit location of Oak Orchard. They were a big help yesterday.
