For those of us that like to paddle Black Creek here in the Churchville/Wheatland area, good news came this morning in the form of a very light ice storm as opposed to the big one they were predicting. The Creek had enough portages last year, and last nights icing probably won’t add too many large downed trees and branches to that mix.
So, hopefully business as usual in a few weeks. I’ll try to get out and check this weekend to see how bad it looks.
Funny thing about WNY. The temperature hits 60 today, and my stats for Oatka Creek search terms go way up for the day :)
Hope you all are busy tying. I’m going to try to take some video every Wednesday or Thursday evening of the Oatka in Garbutt, so you all can plan your weekends accordingly… As I’ve said before though, this blog is a hobby, so I make no promises….
