Nothing gets you pumped up to fish like hearing it mentioned on the radio, even if it was 18 degrees today. Gander Mountain is running their big annual pre-season fishing sale. And they are advertising it on the radio here in Rochester.
I thought the promotion was curious, though. Buy one fishing shirt, and get another half off.
Of all the things that could make me run to Gander Mountain, fishing shirts aren’t on the list.
Kayak Paddles? Yup.
Fly rods? You bet.
Fish finders? Pretty sure.
But fishing shirts? Not so much.
Nonetheless, nice to hear them advertising, and go out and support your local Gander Mountain.

I know! The Bass Pro spring fishing sale flyer is pretty appealing. There’s more than fishing shirts – actually some pretty good deals on basic fishing stuff.
I’m hoping that this is the last bit of bitter cold that we get for the rest of the winter. It looks like it from the extended forcasts.
BTW, I got another nice wild brownie on Saturday – its color was unbelievable! Absolutely beautiful!
