My son and I have a honey hole that we only go to once in awhile as a treat when the fish aren’t biting at other spots. We discovered it earlier in the season with a friend of ours, Andrew, and have sworn ourselves to secrecy and have pledged to only fish it once in awhile. It is a 20 acre or so complex of ponds and wetlands and seems perfectly made for kayak fishing.
The bass are nice and so far, they are always biting! On Friday, we caught 31 largemouth bass in 3 hrs. Most were 2-4lbs (and deep-bodied) caught on Yum frogs. There were just a few under 1lb. Great fun and the Stealth 14 seems as equally at home in backwater areas like this as it does in the big water. For a longer fishing kayak, it is very versatile!

Do you have a special honey hole? Kayaks let you fish where others can’t!
