I orderd my Stealth 14 today from Kayak Supplies.com. Really good people. I figure I wouldn’t beable to open the bait hatch while seated so they are putting an 8″ lid in the middle of bait tank instead of the 4″ it comes with. Problem solved. I truly can’t wait.

Thanx. Are you able to open the live well hatch while in the seated position. I have very large thighs. Which is why I was concidering the x factor. If I can open that large hatch I will just purchase the Stealth 14. And will have funds for xwing fish finder ect. Thanx again for replying !!!

The innovative storage and live well was the deciding factor for me. In particular, I am able to store rods inside the Stealth 14 hull and still have access to them out on the water. I also use the live well for extra tackle storage.

Paul thanx for the YouTube video. My only problem has been trying to decide between the X factor and stealth 14. Which way to go buy ing one of these without trying them. Tough decission. Guess I’ll just buy one of each. What were your reasons for choosing the stealth over X factor ?

Michael, I’m glad that I was able to help you make your decision. I did some new fishing in my Stealth 14 this year – shot some rapids with it on the Genesee River. I wouldn’t say that a 14ft SOT is ideal for paddling in that kind of water, I’m happy to report that it did great. I’d like to see your Malibu Stealth 14 fishing adventures too if you get the chance.

Get post. I saw your 2009 video. You helped me decide on the Stealth 14. Here is my crazy journey to this decision:

Hobie (too expensive, way too expensive)
WS Tarpon
Ocean Kayak Prowler
Malibu X-Factor
Malibu Stealth 14 (done and done!)

Not sure why there are more places that sell Malibu Yaks

It definitely looks like large amounts of space are the key reason for having this kayak. It looks like it has a ton of storage room for a sit-on-top kayak.
